Understanding Senior Care Options & How to Pay for Them

By: Lisa Klemme-Flack

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many families, guiding them through the often overwhelming world of senior care options, insurance, and costs.  To be honest, some of these conversations are heartbreaking because sometimes, there are no perfect answers—only options that are less difficult.

When the unexpected happens, it can feel like there are endless decisions to make, and the financial stress can add to the challenge. With so many care options out there, finding the right fit and understanding how to pay for it isn’t always easy.

To help, I’ve written a few articles that cover different senior care options, Medicare, Medicaid spend-downs, and ways to pay for care. While the answers aren’t always simple, my hope is that these resources will make the process a little easier for you and your family to navigate.

Please remember, I’m not an attorney or financial planner, and I always recommend consulting with an elder law attorney or accountant when making financial decisions.

With appreciation,
Lisa
